It’s Been awhile…

Well I once had this grand notion that I was going to take a picture everyday of the boys and post it on this website…yes I said everyday! Ha ha ha ha…don’t be afraid to laugh…you won’t hurt my feelings…I am not sure what I was thinking…well i do kind of. I had a friend in Louisville that updated her sons website everyday with a new delightful pict so I thought that would be awesome for me to do…but anyway I clearly do not. But I want to try to catch everyone up with the Dolans in the few moments that I have. 2011 has gone as far as I am concerned fantastically well. Our family made 2 trips to Louisville both with groups of students from church and both trips went great. The kids are doing so much better traveling. Mark is of course staying busy with church activities. He has preached 8 times this year i believe and will be preaching again this Sunday (mother’s day). Gannon had his 3rd birthday in March. We celebrated by having his friends show up at mcdonald’s to play in the play space. They had a great time. But the end of March brought a sad day to Gannon as his friend Marshal (and my friend Beth, his mother,) moved to TX. He talks about Marshal everyday! and given the time of the day Gannon is Marshal’s friend but not mine and Lincoln’s . Speaking of Lincoln, he is a busy busy boy. Not much in this world slows him down to a sitting position except food! He is such as awesome eater (unlike his brother) but yet he is right on track in size. Lincoln says more words than I can even begin to count. During car trips Gannon likes to ask Lincoln…. Lincoln can you say…tree, Lincoln can you say bird…or whatever else he can think of. Some of my favorite things that Lincoln says are… I mess, that’s funny, all gone, more, nannon (Gannon), stop, no, balls, I fall, shoes, and papa.

As I write this we are awaiting the arrival of Nana and Papat this weekend. We are really looking forward to spending some time with the grans… I’m sure we are all in for a treat. Well I better go…hope you enjoy the picts. Click to view slideshow.

Especially the discipling moments… There have been many days where I felt like No and STOP has been the extent of the words leaving my mouth. But the older they get the funnier they get. Is it winter outside Mom?

Trunk or Treat!!

We took the boys tonight to a couple different trunk or treat places. Gannon was a monkey and Linc was a pumpkin. Everyone has a good time!!! Everytime someone put something IN Gannon’s pumpkin he wanted to take something OUT and put in his mouth.! Click to view slideshow.

I can’t believe Lincoln is a year old already! He is so active, adorable, and just loves his brother! For his birthday Gannon and I made him a cake! Enjoy the video!

AND He’s Walking!!!

Lincoln had been taking a few steps here and there but on Thursday October 7th he decided that walking was his new mode of transportation. In the video you’ll see his big brother encouraging him to walk…and if you listen really hard you’ll even hear Gannon say “I’m so proud of you!” a couple times… it was really sweet. The second half of the video is two days later after Linc has really mastered the walk!

Our trip to St. Louis

We just recently took a little trip as a family to St. Louis. We hit some of the top picks for those under the age of 7, the Zoo, Grants Farm, the science center, and City Museum. It was great to get away and spend some time just us and it was awesome to see Gannon just loving life and the amazing things God has created for us to enjoy. Here are a couple clips and a few pictures.

Click to view slideshow.Gannon has been a big fan of any kind of play equipment, from swings to slides, to climbing and running. So we often take him to one of the several playgrounds around the area. Our favorite being Craighead Forest Park. However, we now have to go no further than our back yard for as Gannon calls it….”The Park”! Papaw and Nanny Edlin bought the boys a swing set for Christmas and we finally have it all put up! So far its been a real hit! He bounces back and forth between the slide and “batball” otherwise known as baseball! I’m confident there is much summer fun to be had this summer! Thanks Papaw and Nanny!

Hey friends and family… just wanted to post some update pictures and video clips. Both the boys are growing like weeds. Gannon will be 2 in less than a week and grow and inch a week it seems like! Lincoln loves to laugh and giggle which you will see in the video clips and Gannon is trying to “do” more for himself like get himself a snack (which you will also see in the video). Also included in the video set are two really short clips the first is a clip where I found Gannon reading in his bed to himself and the second clip is Gannon trying to do a P90X exercise video with his Dad. We will be heading to Louisville in a couple weeks and we hope to catch up with those of you who live there. Enjoy!

Snow in Arkansas!

When Mark was little one of the things he aspired to be was a weather man! He was facinated with the weather. Anytime I need to know what’s going on outside I just ask my husband! So you can imagine Marks delight when the weather service predicts 7 to 10 inches for North East Arkansas! He just couldn’t wait to get Gannon outside in the snow! So I got everything ready for my BOYS!!! to go outside (Well Mark and Gannon anyway, Lincoln slept through it all!)!!! Here are the adorable pictures. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpap Dolan for the snowsuit. Even though it was a bit small it did its JOB!!!!

We are not sure if Gannon had fun or not! His face looked liked he wasn’t enjoying it but when we asked him if he wanted to go in he always said NO!

Don’t worry I’m not leaving Lincoln out. Below are some recent pictures of Lincoln. He’s 3 months now! Can’t believe it! Lincoln is much more of a jovial baby than Gannon was. Lincoln loves to smile!
